The Rider | The Portrait Series Begins Dave and Ellie Sims of Wood Village, Oregon, are the first riders to be featured in my new portrait series, The Rider. Both riders are on the Can-Am Spyder Limited, Dave's a 2014 and Ellie's is a 2015. Each are pulling a trailer behind their Spyders with Dave's trailer sporting a fold out tent on top. ![]() I like that the first portrait session for this series was of a couple and that each road their own three wheeler, something a bit different to kick things off. I am hoping to photograph riders on all types of bikes, it really doesn't matter what the machine is, it's the passion for life on two wheels, in this case three, that matters most. ![]() I met up with the couple last week, at the beginning of their multi month journey across the United States. The couple are riding from Newport Oregon to Boston, Massachusetts on Highway 20, ending at Fenway Park. Their trip then heads north to Vermont, east to Niagara Falls, then on to Chicago to start back across the country on Route 66, up the west coast on 1 and 101 back home to Oregon. That sounds like an amazing multi month adventure and wish them the best and safe ride.
