"Photography starts once you get past the camera." So good— it is one of my problems as I age and forget and misremember. Love this image for all the reasons you mention in the audio. Also I read your "Crop or not" item before seeing this photo and it made me wonder about breaking the "rule" to always level the horizon. In this photo, had you leveled the horizon (and thus the tractor) it would have un-leveled the outside walkers. What to do? :-)

I agree Jerol, the dog really brings the photo home so to speak. :) As far as the horizon, I don’t think the camera is perfectly level ( close enough for horseshoes) but the horizon in this shot is actually on a hillside, so it wouldn’t be level anyway and the little road the tractor is on is probably not that level either. I guess the most important part is the walkers and they don’t appear to be leaning much and are the most vertical element in the image. Also the tree in the top left corner looks pretty straight, now I’m going to obsess about what’s level for awhile Lol
