JPG for B&W

I set my camera to capture images in JPEG for a black and white photography trip to the Oregon Coast. I am trying out the built-in filter simulations and monochrome settings on my Nikon D810, trying to answer the question, is JPEG good enough for black and white photography. All images were edited with Affinity Photo.
